Encouraging figures in the Argentine economy

Buenos Aires, November 4 (Prensa Latina) The spokesperson for the Argentine presidency, Gabriela Cerruti, today highlighted several economic growth figures, among which the collection of taxes, which reflect encouraging figures after a difficult situation in the country.

In his usual weekly talk, Cerrutti presented data on the progress of recent months, pointing out that collection increased 56.7% in October and is the highest level since 2015. Economic activity has registered an increase by 9.3% from 2019 levels, 60% of private work has resumed, which increased by 326,000 jobs in one year and wages in August exceeded inflation.

In the home stretch of the electoral campaign en route to the legislative elections on November 14, Cerruti called on the population to go and vote after stressing that voting is a possibility to improve the future, individually and collectively.

In this regard, she underlined that voting is a duty but above all a right and a possibility. We need to express our voice on the direction we want to take. Vote for the candidate of your choice, or the force or political project with which you feel identified, but go to the polls, she said.

Asked about the episode the day before by former President Mauricio Macri, who attacked the C5N channel when he arrived in court to be questioned in a spy case, Cerruti reiterated the government’s disavowal of this attitude.

Regarding the case in which Macri had to testify, which reports an alleged espionage against the relatives of the 44 officers of the submarine ARA San Juan, she recalled that President Alberto Fernandez, although enjoying immunity, had opened a case against him for a photo of a dinner party and made himself available for justice.

It seems to us a vague attitude of the former president, making a circus around his appearance in court. The law is the law, everyone must testify, she said.

Finally, she referred to the outstanding debt with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and recalled that this organization will not write Argentina’s economic plan while the executive is now seeking the best possible deal.
