Guild Esports (BROWN TO FOLLOW) has signed Nicolas Villalba, an Argentinian FIFA player known as “Nicolas99fc”, ranked among the top three FIFA players in the world, as the most recent member of his FIFA roster.

Guild Esports, which is co-owned by David Beckham and last year became the first esports organization to be listed on the London Stock Exchange, said Nicolas Villalba is Argentina’s second-highest earner in the world of esports games with $ 290,000 in lifetime earnings to date.

Nicolas has been among the top 3 FIFA players in the world since 2018. His most notable international victories to date include the FIFA 19 PS4 Playoffs and the FIFA 19 eClub World Cup.

Nicolas, who is from Argentina and played for Switzerland-based FC Basel 1893 E-sports, signed a one-year contract with Guild with the option of renewing it for another year.

The company explained that it would be moving from Argentina to London in order to compete from Europe, one of the first movements of its kind at FIFA. Guild said Nicolas will benefit from his academy system and coaching, “with the aim of becoming the number 1 FIFA player in the world.”

He will join Niklas Raseck (“Nraseck”) on the FIFA Guild 2022 roster and compete in the FIFA Global Series 1vs 1 as well as the FIFAe Club Series, a new professional 2v2 format.

Guild believes Nicolas will further strengthen his position as one of the best teams in Europe.

The Group explained that Nicolas has more than 170,000 subscribers on social networks on his social networks. Its audience includes 67,500 followers on Twitch, 55,000 followers on Twitter, 27,800 followers on Instagram as well as 21,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Kal Hourd, Managing Director of Guild Esports, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nicolas to Guild and to support his move to the UK to further develop his skills and talent as a player through our academy system. FIFA is a very important esport for Guild’s sponsor and partner pipeline and we are delighted to strengthen our position in the European rankings with Nicolas, one of FIFA’s most successful players.

Guild Esport investors include Blue Star Capital, listed in London. To date, the investment firm, which focuses on investing in new technology, has invested around £ 0.706million in Guild Esports and owns around 5.95% of Guild’s issued share capital.

Guild was admitted to the official list and began trading on the standard segment of the London Stock Exchange in October 2020 to take advantage of the growing esports markets.

Blue Star claims that the esports market is experiencing significant growth. In 2020, it was estimated at around 495 million viewers and is expected to reach around 646 million viewers by 2023. This is expected to result in an increase in revenue over the same period from $ 950 million to $ 1.60 billion .
